Hereford New Build

We loved working with our clients to transform this bare new build plot into an enjoyable garden.

Our client recently re-located to this new home with a rather uninspiring rear garden and were keen to create a garden that will establish over time, reduce noise from the nearby road and also attract wildlife in.

We re-located and re-imagined an existing summerhouse to create a new sheltered space close to the house surrounded by shade style planting. This included the installation of a Corten steel table top water feature to gently distract  attention from the road noise.

We re-designed an awkward triangular corner of the garden to create an inviting space to sit and view pollinators attracted to the garden by a newly installed perennial meadow.

This space is defined by a native  Hornbeam hedge and beneficial trees and shrubs.

We installed a central stepping stone pathway leading to a circular seating area with pergola over. Once the climbing roses and clematis get established they will provide a nice covered area.

The lawn was contoured with Corten steel edging to provide interest and improve the previous lawn.

Closer to the house a mixed herbaceous border is planted to soften the existing retaining wall and define the beginning of the new garden.
