Something a little different with this gravel style garden in Kings Norton, Birmingham.

This area had become tired and overgrown and our clients wished for an area that gave them a Mediterranean holiday feel.  

They also wished for an area to sit in this underused part of the garden. 

Two large limestone rocks create a seating area with space fro a fire pit on chilly evenings.

We broke the shape up by introducing a series of round islands and curves with central ends edged in sandstone setts. 

Corten steel creates raised beds and feature oak posts divide the space whilst also emphasising the curves.  

Raised borders added depth to the boundaries whilst Mediterranean style plants in tones of grey and silver were loosely planted through the gravel. 

A magnificent specimens olive tree adds structure. We even managed to re-use existing stones found in the garden during clearance works.
