A detached suburban property on the outskirts of Worcester with a large family sized garden. The garden had been somewhat neglected in recent years, becoming overgrown and with the loss of standing fruit trees.

This project has been implemented in stages over two years and included a brief to retain and use recycled materials where possible and also to encourage wildlife. The garden is on heavy clay and has been previously been troubled by drainage issues.

The garden has been divided into a number of rooms using horizontal screening and hornbeam hedging. The distinct areas include a vegetable and herb growing area, garden room, shade/tropical garden and a water feature surrounded by prairie style planting.

Wildlife has been encouraged through the planting of native hedging, annual and wildflower seed mixes and the inclusion of pollinator friendly planting. Hibernating areas are included for the population of frogs!
