A new show piece learning garden for the Birmingham Botanical Gardens that explores and demonstrates how small urban spaces such as balconies, courtyards and rooftop gardens can be used to grow plants, fruit and vegetables.
Build was completed in the Summer of 2020 during the Covid 19 pandemic when outdoor spaces had ever been more important!
The crops were grown and planted by the Head Gardener Wayne Williams and the team at the Botanical gardens.
The garden would not have been possible without the sponsorship of many generous organisations and businesses including
The Calthorpe Estate Residents Society
Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens
London Stone Ltd
Wienerberger Ltd
The work was carried out professionally and to a high quality. This was a total transformation of the garden and completely met my expectations.
The garden is now much easier to maintain whilst still being really colourful with a variety of plants and good for bees and other insects.
